Timed service description
General information
Timed is a chargeable service for dispatchers and fleet managers, who want to check their drivers’ activities in real time, e.g. time at the wheel and rest periods. This makes it easier to ensure that orders and trips are planned more efficiently and costly driving time violations are avoided.
Overview of services
Once the fleet vehicles have been set up in the RIO administration area on the RIO platform and the Timed service has been procured for the vehicles via the marketplace, the following Timed services can be used for the various vehicle categories:

Technical requirements (RIO Box)
To be able to use Timed, vehicles must be equipped as follows:

The service is compatible with Continental VDO tachographs from version DTCO 2.0 (although display of residual times at wheel is only possible from tachograph version DTCO 2.1)
The service is compatible with Stoneridge tachographs from version SE5000 7.4 (although display of residual times at wheel is only possible from tachograph version SE5000 7.6)
To be able to use Timed, the workplace must be equipped as follows:
- Desktop computer (is not provided by RIO) with an up-to-date operating system and a modern web browser of the latest version.
To be able to use the entire scope of Timed, we recommend using Continental VDO tachographs from version DTCO 2.1 and Stoneridge tachographs from version SE5000 7.6. Using older models could restrict the signal functionality.
Technical requirements (third-party telematics)
Data on driving and rest times must be available in the third-party system and released for RIO.
