Munich, 25 September 2019. RIO reorganises its Board of Management: The digital brand of the TRATON GROUP has brought in Stefan Heymann as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr Heymann has his roots in the Volkswagen Group. RIO’s new recruit joined the Volkswagen Group China as a project controller in 2011. He took on a team leader role there two years later. Since 2016, he has been working for the TRATON GROUP, most recently as Head of Module Management. Stefan Heymann will join RIO this autumn and replace Franziska Leidenroth as Managing Director and CFO.
“Stefan Heymann will play a decisive role in the transformation of the RIO brand. We are currently reaching out to new customer groups and pursuing a significant expansion of our partner base. We need a strong financial footing to achieve this. By appointing Stefan Heymann, we will be able to take this to the next stage and beyond,” says Jan Kaumanns, CEO of RIO. “This reorganisation of our Board of Management will enable RIO to overcome the challenges of the future. I cannot wait to see the impact he will have. This breath of fresh air at management level will help to accelerate the growth of our company and keep RIO on course for success.” At present, more than 115,000 vehicles are linked to each other via the RIO platform.
Franziska Leidenroth is leaving the company for personal reasons. She moved from MAN Truck & Bus to the newly founded brand RIO in 2016 and took on the position of CFO & Head of Finance and Administration. Not only was she responsible for the commercial management of the company, she was also responsible for setting up and monetising the RIO digital platform and the international marketplace for logistics services. “From the outset, Franziska Leidenroth played a key role in shaping the RIO vision. Much to our regret, we will be losing a passionate, innovative and empathetic Managing Director. Her appreciative leadership style made a decisive contribution to shaping the open company culture at RIO,” says Jan Kaumanns, CEO of RIO.
