MAN DataPackage S Service Specification

MAN DataPackage S is an API solution that provides fleet managers with relevant information from the vehicles in their fleet.

MAN DataPackage S is available for Lion’s City E buses and offers data from the areas of cab, comfort, handling, engine, drive, safety and environment, including relevant information for electric vehicles. By integrating this API with existing fleet management solutions, fleet managers can streamline processes, increase safety and optimise asset utilisation.

Overview of the service
MAN DataPackage S API is available as soon as the fleet vehicles have been set up in the administration area on the RIO platform and the service has been activated for these vehicles via the Marketplace.

The most important features for the fleet manager are as follows:

  1. The data is only available via an API (mobile apps and dashboards do not exist in connection with this service)
  2. Access to the API is granted after successful booking and corresponding registration on the RIO Marketplace. Only authorised persons or applications can access the fleet data
  3. The service provides a range of vehicle data, from static to dynamic vehicle information
  4. MAN DataPackage S is a pull-based API that sends vehicle data based on customer requests
  5. The data of the MAN DataPackage S has a maximum frequency rate of 30 seconds
  6. Up to 15 days of historical data can be accessed

Requirements
The following requirements must be met in order to be able to book MAN DataPackage S:

  1. Use of a RIO box (provision of which is not part of the terms of use)
  2. This service is currently only available for Lion’s City E buses
  3. Use of a customer system for interface communication with the data provisioning system and the RIO server for authentication and authorisation. For third-party companies, it is the responsibility of the customer to clarify and operate the communication channels up to their own system

Service interruption and warranty exclusion
The content of MAN DataPackage S may change and be updated over time. In the event of unforeseen technical problems, system maintenance or other factors that may temporarily disrupt or affect the accuracy of the API Service, the Provider shall make reasonable efforts to promptly remedy and remedy the situation, but shall not be liable for any resulting consequences or damages suffered by Users during such periods of service interruption or data inaccuracies.
