Receive and track transport orders

For optimal planning of production processes, the plants of the Volkswagen Group are reliant on a wide range of transparency information from freight forwarders and suppliers.

By using WebTMS, our common goal is to ensure improved transparency along the entire supply chain with status information and geolocations that benefit all stakeholders!

Sign up on the RIO platform or log in to use WebTMS.

Transfer orders

You will find all of the latest requests in the transport orders view. This provides you with a general overview as well as all of the details pertaining to the order. You can confirm the order with a click of a button. It is also possible to add details on time windows and the number plate of the respective vehicle to the transport orders.

Route planning (early access)

We are offering you the route planning feature as a free option. You can schedule confirmed transport orders in this feature. The routes you set up are then clearly laid out in a tile display, and you can send them directly to your driver, who has access to our Pocket Driver App app, once you’ve planned them. Track the current status of the tour with your driver’s status notifications and stay up to date with any issues or unscheduled delays.

Choice of vehicle telematics systems

In order to transmit the required location data to the Volkswagen Group, you will need to register your trucks once in RIO and then link them to a telematics device.

If you do not use a RIO hardware box as a telematics device in your vehicles, the Pocket Driver App app will offer you location-based features from RIO. You need nothing more than an Android smartphone and our app in your vehicle.

The systems of the following telematics providers are currently supported:
Scania, Volvo Telematik, Lost & Found.

These will soon be followed by:
WebEye, Yellow Fox, Tom Tom Webfleet, Wabco Transics.
