Real-time traffic data
With MAN OnlineTraffic, real-time data on the traffic situation can be viewed in the vehicle navigation. It displays the latest information on traffic jams and disruptions – and of course if the traffic jam is dissipating. Thus, if necessary, the route can be adjusted immediately and easily optimised. This dynamic route guidance saves driving time, enables you to deploy vehicles efficiently and facilitates meeting deadlines.
The traffic data received by subscription is automatically downloaded from the Internet during the journey and fed into the navigation system.
Easy installation and payment
- After booking, the over-the-air feature is transferred to the vehicle via mobile internet and automatically made available during the subscription term.
- The initial activation of MAN OnlineTraffic per vehicle is free of charge. Optionally, the subscription can be extended for a fee after one year (for a 7" MAN Mediasystem Navigation Advanced) or two years (for a 12.3" MAN Mediasystem Navigation Professional). Otherwise, the subscription ends automatically. Invoicing shall take place on a monthly basis over the booked term.
- After booking MAN OnlineTraffic on MAN Now, the ‘Online traffic service’ must be activated in the navigation settings:
- Select the ‘Navigation’ menu in the main menu
- Select the ‘Settings’ submenu
- Select ‘Traffic’
- Select ‘Online traffic service’
- Confirm the pop-up (NO additional costs are charged to the customer for the data transmission)
Prerequisites for use
- The over-the-air feature is available for MAN trucks in EU27+3 from model year 2022 with an installed and activated on-board telematics module (...).
- An additional requirement for the upgrade is, among other things, an installed 7" MAN Mediasystem Navigation Advanced or a 12.3" MAN Mediasystem Navigation Professional.
- Before booking, MAN Now checks whether your vehicle meets these and, if applicable, any other requirements for the feature.
